The Yamaha GT-1000, released in 1983 during the "Golden Era" of Japanese audiophile equipment, is a highly-respected direct-drive turntable that was released exclusively in Japan. The GT-1000 is an entry into the upper-midrange market, just below the flagship GT-2000 model, and offers exceptional performance by virtue of its robust and unerring construction, as expected from Yamaha. The large 3 kg (6.6 lb) aluminum platter and quartz phase-lock loop control provide highly stable rotation, for extremely precise pitch reproduction. On top of its playback performance, the GT-1000 is overall a visually beautiful piece of equipment. This unit is in very good shape with very good condition, with only minor general wear throughout, including some minor scratches (please see photos). Furthermore, it has been thoroughly checked and tested by our professional technician, confirming its flawless operation.

The 33 and 45 settings both work perfectly, and the platter rotation is like clockwork, as expected from Yamaha products of this era, which were built for a lifetime of operation. Power Supply : 100V 5W 50/60 Hz. Though it is unlikely to happen due to our meticulous packaging procedures, turntable dust covers do occasionally break in transit. The dust cover should therefore be treated as a free gift.
