This is a Sony PS-X600 Biotracer Computer Controlled Fully Automatic Stereo Turntable System Direct drive, vintage, used in good condition fitted with a Shure cartridge M97X. He told me has never needed or had service. Stylus looks good and clean under the microscope. I have checked the basics turntable functions. It works well, But heavy scuffed dust cover with heavy scratches. One bracket is broken right side. Please contact me with questions. Located in San Jose Ca. 2-Speed Fully-Automatic Direct-Drive Turntable (1981). The Sony PS-X600 is a fully-auto turntable with direct-drive motor system and Biotracer electronically controlled tonearm. The unit features auto-record size selection, electronic stylus force and anti-skating adjustment, synchronised operation with Sony cassette decks, a muting system and magnedisc servo system. Platter: 32cm aluminium alloy die-cast. Control system: quartz lock control, magnedisc servo. Speeds: 33.33 and 45rpm. Wow and flutter: 0.015% WRMS. Signal to noise ratio: 78dB.

Automatic system: lead in, return, reject, repeat, record size selection, anti-skating. Stylus force range: 0 to 3g. Cartridge weight range: 7.5 to 12.5g (17g with extra weight). Dimensions: 430 x 120 x 385mm.

The Sony PS-X600 is a fairly neutral sounding, well made product with exceptional shock resistance, which could prove important to some purchasers. Unit is in good cosmetic condition. The top of the case and the vinyl sides has heavy scratches on one broken bracket. The face is good all buttons and knobs are clean and work as intended.

This item is in good condition overall. Basic Tested and is 100% functional. Please look at the photos to make your own determination of this items condition. Great working condition, the turtable is on good condition except for the plastic cover.
